Lighton is a Communications, Media and Social and Behavioral Change specialist. He holds a BSc in Mass Communication with Development Studies from the University of Zambia and is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Education at the same institution.

His professional journey includes significant roles such as Communications Officer at PATH Zambia, Communications Officer at Zambian Youth Platform (ZYP), Secretary of Media and Communications at United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM), Online Content Producer/Broadcaster at Digital Media Hub, and Youth-Led Condom Promotion Project Lead and Social Media Coordinator/Consultant at SRHR Africa Trust (SAT) Zambia. 

Lighton enjoys playing and watching football. He is a staunched Manchester United fan who strongly believes that Man Utd will soon bounce back to its glory days.
